My Story

Hello everyone,

I am running my first ever half marathon next month in aid of a cause very close to my heart.

littlelifts is a charity that was inspired by my friend Oa's personal experience with primary breast cancer.  Diagnosed at 28 years old, sadly Oa was one of approximately 520 women who are treated for primary breast cancer every year at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital alone.  Oa set up littlelifts to give something back and the charity provides comfort boxes to alleviate some of the side effects patients may experience during their treatment.  I have read some of the testimonies from women who have received a littlelifts comfort box to date and their words of overwhelming thanks and heartfelt joy to have the gift of a package that will help them through their challenging treatment is so special.  With my fundraising target I would like to support more women to receive a comfort box and put more smiles on faces.

This will be a particularly big challenge for me as it is the furthest I will have ever run so I fully expect the 13.1miles to be a gruelling challenge but one that is completely worth it with your support for my chosen cause!
